Job summary

Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) Cambridge Hospital is seeking a dedicated phlebotomist to perform routine laboratory procedures under supervision. The role focuses on safe phlebotomy, specimen handling, and supporting patient care within the Pathology Administration department.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, specimen processing, registration, and basic lab tasks. On-site, full-time schedule with on-call responsibilities; English fluency and a high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy training and experience required.
• Fluency in English required.
• Basic computer skills; Meditech and EPIC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy on adult and pediatric patients.
• Perform quality control and assigned technical work under direct supervision.
• Register patients for the department.
• Process, label and prepare specimens; create site batches for Cambridge Hospital Lab.
• Carry out duties such as centrifugation, slide preparation/staining, and testing.
• Handle filing, photocopying, and general computer functions.
