Job summary

Concord Hospital in Concord, NH is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist to collect venous and capillary blood samples from patients of all ages and process specimens for analysis. You will work under the Laboratory Supervisor Non-Technical, performing duties in a fast-paced environment while following safety and OSHA guidelines.

The ideal candidate has phlebotomy training (externship preferred) and strong interpersonal skills to relate professionally with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy training with externship preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience in healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and processes venous and capillary blood samples from patients of all ages.
• Processes clinical specimens for delivery to laboratory departments or reference laboratories.
• Performs duties within assigned work blocks and adheres to safety and OSHA guidelines.
• Assists in the preventative maintenance and disinfection within the Specimen Processing area; Concord site travel for off-site collections.
