Job summary

Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is hiring a full-time phlebotomist for the Malden Outpatient Phlebotomy Lab. You will perform routine blood collection for adults and children, ensure specimen processing, and support lab operations under supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy training/experience. English fluency and basic computer skills (Meditech/EPIC preferred) are a plus. On-site work with possible weekend rotation and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent GED. Phlebotomy training and experience a must.
• Fluency in English and basic computer skills; Meditech and EPIC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy on adult and pediatric patients.
• Conduct quality control and assigned technical work under supervision.
• Register patients and manage specimen processing and labeling.
• Prepare specimens and create site batches for transport to Cambridge Hospital Lab.
• Handle centrifugation, slide staining, and preparation of surgical/cytology specimens.
• Label tubes/slides, store and retrieve specimens, and assist with lab duties.
• Answer department calls and help maintain stocked work areas; on-call duties as needed.
