Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous lab assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs waived patient testing.
• Performs venipuncture and skin puncture.
• Labels specimens with patient identifiers.
• Transcribes orders as needed.
• Monitors QC values and reports deviations.
• Stocks/inspects supplies and maintains inventory.
• Delivers specimens to the Lab.
• Responds to code teams when needed.
• Adheres to universal precautions and SOPs.
• Communicates with staff and patients professionally.
