Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Georgia is seeking a motivated phlebotomist to join our patient-centered team. Responsibilities include performing venipunctures, processing samples, and assisting technical staff in a clinical lab setting. Education requires a GED; no experience required, though 1 year preferred.

Phlebotomy certification (CPT) or similar credential is preferred. Work in a regulated environment under CMS/CLIA guidelines. Hospital experience and reliable teamwork are valued.

Qualifications

• GED required.

• Phlebotomy Certification preferred (CPT)

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable.
• Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
