Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a phlebotomy technician to join our team. You will perform sample processing and venipunctures, collect blood specimens, and support clinical staff in maintaining high-quality lab operations.

Qualifications

• GED is required.
• 1 year of phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• CPT Phlebotomy Certification preferred or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88) and other applicable standards.
• Performs venipunctures and obtains/prepares blood specimens per Piedmont policies.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Qualifications:

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Work Experience

• No experience required Required


• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist Preferred


• Experience in performing EKGs Preferred


• Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting Preferred

Licenses and Certifications
