Job summary

JLL seeks a Lab Asset Coordinator in South San Francisco to manage maintenance, calibrations and repairs of lab equipment within a research environment. You will work with Facilities to minimize downtime and deliver high-touch service to a select portfolio.

This client-facing role requires strong communication, teamwork, and on-site presence, typically Monday to Friday morning shifts, with a focus on precise coordination and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in lab/pharma environments.
• Experience in hospitality, facility / property management, building operations and/or knowledge of commercial real estate.
• Exceptional customer service skills and professionalism with a passion for hospitality.
• Strong interpersonal skills and track record of excellent internal and external customer service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and process management.
• Ability to problem solve and develop process enhancements.
• Ability to work independently with strong prioritization and time management.
• Ability to work with diverse teams and lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact to coordinate scheduled work, resolve service incidents and elevate instrument/equipment issues.
• Coordinate and expedite the repairs of laboratory and facilities equipment.
• Actively communicate status updates to lab end users and service providers.
• Conduct physical inventories of lab assets and compare results with control records; report discrepancies.
• Coordinate the badging and training of vendors.
• Escort vendors to work areas and provide information to ensure coordination and service execution.
• Collaborate with lab users to ensure equipment availability and minimal interruption.
• Stay aligned with experiment schedules to provide windows for planned work.
• Support CMMS data integrity and updates to spares, assets, and maintenance tasks.
• Obtain vendor quotes and any other financial information for equipment support.
