Job summary

Williams College is seeking a Learning & Development Manager/HR Generalist to lead staff development initiatives and act as a strategic partner across departments. The role focuses on organizational effectiveness, change management, and compliant HR practices.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience, expertise in instructional design, and proficiency with Workday/PeopleSoft and Google Suite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years related experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Broad HR Generalist background with knowledge of federal and Massachusetts employment laws.
• Instructional design expertise and understanding of adult learning processes.
• Technical proficiency with HRM/HCM systems (Workday, PeopleSoft), ATS, and Google Suite.
• Excellent presentation and facilitation abilities for groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of staff development initiatives and provide expert consultation on employee relations and organizational effectiveness.
• Plan and evaluate institution-wide learning initiatives including leadership development, compliance training, and skill-building workshops.
• Advise managers and staff on employee relations, performance management, and workplace concerns.
