Job summary

Williams College is seeking a Learning & Development Manager/HR Generalist to design staff development initiatives and serve as a strategic partner across campus. The role leads training programs, advises on employee relations, and supports organizational effectiveness while ensuring policy compliance.

Requires a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years HR experience, expertise in instructional design, and proficiency with Workday/PeopleSoft.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years HR experience.
Broad HR Generalist background with knowledge of federal and MA laws.
Instructional design expertise for adult learning.
Experience with HRM/HCM systems (Workday, PeopleSoft) and Google Suite.
Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
Commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Ability to advise managers on employee relations and performance management.

Responsibilities

Design staff development initiatives and programs for staff, supervisors, and leaders.
Plan and evaluate institution-wide learning initiatives, including leadership development and compliance training.
Advise managers on employee relations, performance management, and workplace concerns.
Support organizational effectiveness through change management and team development.
Interpret and apply College policies to ensure compliance with laws.
Coach and counsel employees and managers to strengthen leadership and teamwork.
Collaborate on onboarding programs for new managers and faculty leadership.
