Job Title: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing
Location: Edmonds, WA 98026 (Pacific Northwest)
Healthcare Facility: Labor & Delivery Unit
Contract Type: Travel Nursing
Start Date: September 8, 2025
End Date: December 8, 2025
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30)
Weekly Hours: 36
Staffing Ratio: 1:1-3
Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1910-$2050

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery, LDRP, Postpartum, and Newborn care
Active Washington RN license or Compact nursing license
Required certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate
Epic charting system experience
Ability to float to related clinical units
Proficient in circulating for C-sections, fetal heart monitoring (FHM), and IV starts
Experience with high-risk antepartum and teaching hospital environments preferred

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive patient care in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, OB Triage, Antepartum, and Normal Newborn units
Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including circulating in the operating room
Start adult IVs and administer blood/blood products
Manage drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, insulin, and magnesium sulfate therapies
Perform sterile vaginal exams, maintain central lines (CVC/PICC), and use intrauterine pressure catheters (IUPC)
Implement isolation precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols
Deliver couplet care and support high-risk deliveries
Float to other clinical units as needed to support patient care
