Job summary

A healthcare staffing agency seeks an experienced RN for Labor and Delivery in Seattle. This travel contract role requires night shifts and has a duration of 13 weeks. Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in a high acuity and fast-paced environment required.
Must have at least 4 years as a Labor and Delivery RN.
Experience with newborn care including eye and Vitamin K injections.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care during labor and delivery.
Ensure care of the newborn after delivery.
Float to postpartum and antepartum as needed.

Shift Details: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Weekly Schedule: 36 Hours

Certifications/Licenses:

Preferred: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
Required: BLS, NRP

Mandatory Experience:

5 years exp REQUIRED in high acuity & high pace environment
MIN of 4 years of experience
FLOAT REQUIRED: Post partum / Antepartum - may float to sister facilities that do Mother/Baby.
EPIC HARDSTOP, electronic fetal monitoring
Need high risk experience and able to work in fast paced, high acuity environments.
Functions in the role of Baby Nurse during the delivery and continues care of the newborn until transfer to post partum
MUST - CIRCULATE and provide NB care including eyes and Vit K injections - thighs and newborn assessments
4 years exp REQUIRED HARD STOP in high acuity & high pace environment, if less than 4 years, please SCREEN to manager, she will review and make the decision
