Job Title: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) – Travel Nurse
Location: Burlingame, California (Bay Area)
Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
Healthcare Setting: Labor & Delivery (LDRP), Community Hospital
Start Date: September 22, 2025
End Date: December 22, 2025
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3 x 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), every other weekend required
Hours per Week: 36
Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,580 - $2,760
Patient Population: Neonates, Infants, Adolescents, Adults
Unit Size: 30 beds, average daily census of 10

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active California RN license (required at time of submission)
BLS (AHA) certification
ACLS certification
AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
NRP certification
Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
Experience with Epic charting system preferred
Community hospital and Level I Trauma experience required
Ability to complete lab work within 3-5 days of signing
All certifications must be AHA and current at time of submission

L&D RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive patient care in the Labor & Delivery unit, adhering to clinical protocols and best practices
Collaborate with obstetricians, surgical scrub techs, and nursing staff in the LDRP environment
Perform patient assessments, continuous monitoring, and clear communication with patients and families
Assist with high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and postpartum care
Administer medications and therapies, including magnesium sulfate and Pitocin
Operate fetal monitoring equipment (EFM, IUPC, internal/external monitoring)
Mentor and educate nursing students as needed
Document all care activities using the Epic electronic health record system
Maintain compliance with privacy, safety, and regulatory standards
