Job summary

Circle is seeking a Manager, Know Your Customer (KYC) to join its Compliance Operations team and oversee day-to-day management of the KYC function. You will lead a regional team conducting all aspects of B2B onboarding, enhanced due diligence, and periodic reviews.

You will drive quality, consistency, and risk-based decision-making, partnering with Engineering and Product to ensure the best tools and processes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of AML/KYC experience for corporate customers.
• 1+ year of experience managing teams of analysts.
• 2+ years of relevant crypto experience.
• Demonstrated experience leveraging AI-enabled tools within compliance workflows.
• A passion for digital currency, blockchain, and emerging technologies in financial crime compliance.
• Innovative, solution-oriented mindset with tech-driven improvements.
• Ability to collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders.
• Experience in RegTech, FinTech, or digital asset environments preferred.
• CAMS, CFCS, CFE, or similar certification preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required; quantitative/technical degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing customer KYC, onboarding and periodic review processes with enhanced due diligence.
• Manage case volumes across workflows to ensure timely execution and SLA adherence.
• Oversee drafting quality of Customer Risk Acceptance memos with clear, decisive writeups.
• Lead and develop a team of KYC analysts.
• Lead compliance walkthroughs and reviews of client programs and controls; address gaps with stakeholders.
• Identify, design, and implement AI-driven KYC workflow enhancements.
• Collaborate with Commercial teams as escalation point for complex issues.
• Ensure documentation, audit readiness, and QA across onboarding and reviews.
• Partner with Engineering and Product to provide tools and tech support.
• Monitor regulatory developments and adapt KYC/AML processes accordingly.
• Build cross-functional partnerships with QA, Monitoring & Testing, Audit, and exam teams.
