PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. seeks a Software Engineering Group Manager to shape the container platform strategy for enterprise workloads. Based in Pittsburgh, Strongsville, or other U.S.

markets, you will lead architecture, security, and performance of Kubernetes-based infrastructure and mentor a team of engineers. You will drive CI/CD, observability, and cost optimization, collaborating with DevOps, security, and product teams to deliver reliable, scalable services.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in technology with container platform leadership in an agile environment.
• 10+ years Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, CI/CD, cloud providers, and platform engineering.
• Experience in Agile software development environments, preferably with developer platform products.

Responsabilidades

• Define the roadmap for container platforms (Kubernetes) and container-as-a-service (CaaS) to support enterprise workloads.
• Design, deploy, and manage highly available, secure, and scalable containerized infrastructure.
• Oversee product development process, translating market requirements into technical specs for container runtime, security, and orchestration.
• Promote usability through self-service options, APIs, and documentation; drive adoption among engineering teams.
• Represent customers, study industry trends, and inform product development and adoption.
• Oversee metrics to enhance performance, usability, and reliability of containerized workloads.
• Develop and set standards for Kubernetes, CI/CD, microservices, and observability.
• Enforce container security best practices and enterprise standards.
• Collaborate with DevOps, security, and networking to optimize CI/CD pipelines and IaC.
• Enhance cluster efficiency and resource management to reduce costs.
