Job summary

Elastic is seeking a Platform Engineer to develop and maintain hosting infrastructure on Kubernetes in GCP. You will join a focused team that prioritizes automation and security, building a robust platform for internal applications in an AI-forward environment.

You will implement scalable infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and cost governance while collaborating with Infosec and other engineers. The role offers exposure to the latest technologies and impactful projects driving growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5+ years with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or Crossplane
• 5+ years with cloud service providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Kubernetes certification or Cloud Native Associate
• Knowledge of service mesh architectures such as Istio or Linkerd
• Hands-on experience with cloud security practices and tools
• Experience with cost management tools for cloud infrastructure
• Led cross-functional initiatives that improved platform usability and performance based on user feedback
• Elasticsearch experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design scalable infrastructure solutions and implement infrastructure as code
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and scalable build systems
• Ensure security compliance and CVE remediation with Infosec and engineering teams
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather platform improvement requirements
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal platform users
• Analyze cloud spending and enforce cost optimization and governance
