Job summary

GC AI is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join our distributed team and scale a platform serving 1,700+ enterprise customers. You will own foundational infrastructure, pipelines, and observability, working with DevOps and backend engineers to raise the bar across the stack.

You’ll shape engineering direction, define IaC standards with Terraform or Pulumi, and help build internal platform capabilities that accelerate delivery while maintaining reliability and security across cloud workloads.

Qualifications

• Experience leading technical initiatives or teams.
• Experience with platform engineering, internal developer platforms (IDPs), or developer tooling.
• Past work in regulated or enterprise-focused environments.
• Familiarity with SRE practices, incident response, or on-call workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the infrastructure that supports the platform, including networking, compute, storage, and deployment pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
• Build CI/CD pipelines that make deployments fast, safe, and boring.
• Define and enforce IaC standards using Terraform, Pulumi, or similar tools—turning manual processes into repeatable systems.
• Unify logging and observability so engineers can understand, debug, and operate the platform with confidence.
• Maintain clean environment isolation, network boundaries, and operational hygiene to scale safely.
• Reduce toil, improve tooling, and build internal platform capabilities that compound over time.
• Contribute to engineering culture and technical direction in a fast-growing environment.
