Job summary

Google engineers build the next-generation platforms that scale for billions of users worldwide. This role focuses on securing Kubernetes-based workloads and leading secure-operational practices across the product.

You will collaborate with Google Cloud security teams to advance threat detection and risk mitigation. You will partner with senior GKE security leads to push for industry-leading security, hardening, and governance across GenAI workloads, while delivering secure tooling and guidance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of security engineering, computer and network security, and security protocols.
• 5 years in distributed cloud computing including 3 years with containerization and orchestration (GKE).

Responsibilities

• Perform Kubernetes security reviews, research and reproduce vulnerabilities.
• Lead the team in developing secure operational practices and guidance.
• Partner with Security teams to build a long-term threat detection strategy.
• Review designs and identify security gaps in reviews and engagement.
