Job summary

The Salvation Army Kroc Center is seeking a Kroc Specialist in Memphis to drive member acquisition and enrich the experience in Membership, Recreation and Fitness. This role leads Kroc Associates and contributes to a welcoming, safe environment where families learn, grow and thrive.

Responsibilities include excellent service, check-ins via CCMS, handling cash, and upholding center policies while participating in meetings and trainings to support center goals.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2-4 years in customer relations and leading fitness/recreational activities.
• Certified Personal Trainer or Group Fitness Instructor preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Certifications: Safe From Harm, Blood Borne Pathogens; CPR/First Aid/AED within 30 days.

This position is responsible for:The Kroc Specialist is focused on member acquisition and experience in the areas Membership, Recreation and Fitness. These staff members are responsible for participating in the creation of a welcoming, helpful and safe environment where individuals and families can learn, grow and thrive. The Kroc Specialist will also provide leadership and support to Kroc Associates in a Team Lead capacity.Key Responsibilities:Provides Excellent Customer Service and Experience to Members, Guests and Colleagues.Warmly greets all people that we come in contact with throughout the Kroc CenterLooks for opportunities to be helpful to members, guests and colleaguesListens, and offers thoughtful solutions for members, guests and colleagues.Assists in maintaining a clean and organized environment throughout the buildingAnswers incoming phone calls and addresses needs in a professional and kind mannerUphold Kroc Center policies to maintain and safe and family friendly environmentOperates CCMS/RMS computer software for customer transactions in accordance to Salvation Army and member policiesHandles cash transactions in an ethical mannerUses CCMS system to check-in members and guests,Attends department and center meetings and trainingsPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions:Ability to meet attendance requirements.Ability to read, write and communicate the English language.Ability to demonstrate good physical condition and effort associated with walking, running, standing, and moderate-to-advanced weight lifting in a fitness center environment including the ability to meet the demands of the gymnasium and athletic field programs.Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull moderately heavy (25-50 lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment.
