Job summary

Salvation Army A Georgia Corp in Kerrville, TX is seeking a Kroc Associate for the Kerrville KROC Center to help manage member experience, membership initiatives, and fitness operations. You will contribute to a welcoming, safe environment where individuals and families can learn, grow and thrive.

The role emphasizes supervising the gym, equipment, and events, ensuring a clean, safe and enjoyable facility, and assisting with daily setup and opening/closing duties.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or G.E.D.
• Experience in customer relations and leading fitness and recreational activities preferred.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Schedule / Hours: Day, Evening, and Saturday Availability 23- 29 hours per week

This Position is responsible for:

The Kroc Associate is focused on member acquisition and experience in the areas of Membership, Recreation and Fitness. These staff members are responsible for participating in the creation of a welcoming, helpful, and safe environment where individuals and families can learn, grow, and thrive. Oversees the daily use of the fitness center and equipment by members, guests, and visitors; ensures safe, professional, and enjoyable operation of the fitness area; ensures the safety, cleanliness and proper maintenance of the fitness facility and equipment; opens and/or closes the gym and basic set up for events on a daily basis

Key Responsibilities

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to read, write and communicate the English language
• Ability to demonstrate good physical condition and effort associated with walking, running, standing, and moderate-to-advanced weight lifting in a fitness center environment including the ability to meet the demands of the gymnasium and athletic field programs.
• Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull moderately heavy (25-50 lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment. Moderate mobility: duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent changes basis.
