Job summary

The Salvation Army's Kroc Center in Memphis is seeking a Kroc Specialist to drive member acquisition and enhance the experience in Membership, Recreation and Fitness. You will lead Kroc Associates in a Team Lead capacity, while providing a welcoming, safe environment for families to learn and thrive.

Responsibilities include delivering excellent service, greeting guests, processing CCMS/RMS transactions, and upholding center policies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years’ experience in customer relations and leading fitness and/or recreational activities.
• Certifications: Safe From Harm, Blood Borne Pathogens; CPR/First Aid/AED within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and experience to members, guests, and colleagues.
• Greet people warmly and be helpful to members, guests, and colleagues.
• Listen and offer thoughtful solutions; maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Answer calls professionally and process transactions via CCMS/RMS.

This position is responsible for:The Kroc Specialist is focused on member acquisition and experience in the areas Membership, Recreation and Fitness. These staff members are responsible for participating in the creation of a welcoming, helpful and safe environment where individuals and families can learn, grow and thrive. The Kroc Specialist will also provide leadership and support to Kroc Associates in a Team Lead capacity.Key Responsibilities:Provides Excellent Customer Service and Experience to Members, Guests and Colleagues.Warmly greets all people that we come in contact with throughout the Kroc CenterLooks for opportunities to be helpful to members, guests and colleaguesListens, and offers thoughtful solutions for members, guests and colleagues.Assists in maintaining a clean and organized environment throughout the buildingAnswers incoming phone calls and addresses needs in a professional and kind mannerUphold Kroc Center policies to maintain and safe and family friendly environmentOperates CCMS/RMS computer software for customer transactions in accordance to Salvation Army and member policiesHandles cash transactions in an ethical mannerUses CCMS system to check-in members and guests,Attends department and center meetings and trainingsPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions:Ability to meet attendance requirements.Ability to read, write and communicate the English language.Ability to demonstrate good physical condition and effort associated with walking, running, standing, and moderate-to-advanced weight lifting in a fitness center environment including the ability to meet the demands of the gymnasium and athletic field programs.Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull moderately heavy (25-50 lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment.
