Job summary

Paychex is seeking a Knowledge Management professional to create, govern, and optimize high-quality KM content and catalog structures across the enterprise. You will shape semantic models, taxonomies, ontologies, and metadata frameworks to improve knowledge discovery, interoperability, and AI-powered experiences.

This role analyzes complex knowledge ecosystems, partners with stakeholders, and leads governance, content lifecycle, and program initiatives to deliver measurable value.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Knowledge Management principles, governance, taxonomy, metadata, and information architecture.
• Understanding of semantic technologies and knowledge representation, incl. taxonomies, ontologies, and knowledge graphs.
• Experience designing or governing knowledge structures for enterprise search, AI experiences, or RAG.
• Ability to translate complex concepts into scalable knowledge models and governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Govern the enterprise knowledge catalog, including content lifecycle, ownership, reviews, archival, metadata standards, and quality requirements.
• Evaluate and improve taxonomies, ontologies, metadata models, knowledge graphs, and content structures for AI readiness and efficiency.
• Design, develop, and govern semantic models (taxonomies, ontologies, vocabularies, relationships) to improve discovery and reuse.
• Collaborate with business, product, data, and tech stakeholders to define domains, relationships, and governance standards.
• Map content, processes, services, products, systems, and knowledge assets to improve context and decision-making.
• Lead evaluation of emerging semantic technologies and AI architectures to enhance knowledge accessibility.
• Develop and optimize knowledge articles, job aids, procedures, and governance-compliant content.
• Provide strategic recommendations on governance, taxonomy, and content optimization to improve outcomes.
• Manage complex KM initiatives with multiple deliverables and timelines.
