Job summary

Toyota North America is seeking a Knowledge Management Specialist for a 6-month contract in Plano, Texas. You will help employees find, trust, and reuse critical knowledge by improving AKARI, My Toolbox, and SharePoint sources.

You will partner with stakeholders to govern content, optimize search, and support onboarding, training, and governance. A bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years in knowledge management are preferred, with strong SharePoint Online skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 3–5 years of knowledge management, content strategy, intranet management, or related role.
• Hands-on experience configuring and maintaining SharePoint Online sites, lists, libraries, and metadata.
• Experience with content lifecycle management, governance, audits, and ownership models.
• Strong understanding of metadata, taxonomy, search fundamentals, and information architecture.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge management practices that support business needs and improve user experience.
• Assess content through inventories, audits, and gap analysis to improve quality and usability.
• Apply taxonomy, metadata, ownership, and lifecycle practices to keep assets organized.
• Collaborate with SMEs to turn complex information into clear QRGs, SOPs, and training materials.
