Job summary

Micron Technology in Boise, ID is seeking a Kitting Engineer to drive world-class manufacturing readiness. You will own lifecycle management of process kits, coordinate calibration activities, and partner with Equipment Engineers and maintenance teams to ensure kits and parts are available and compliant.

This role focuses on high-volume manufacturing support, kit readiness, and data-driven improvements, with opportunities to influence tooling, standards, and performance metrics in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Manufacturing required.
• 2+ years’ experience as an Engineer with mechanical aptitude.
• Process kit engineering experience strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to drive improvements across Fab operations.

Responsibilities

• Own lifecycle management of process kits, including tracking, staging, kitting, refurbishment, and disposition of Kits and Maintenance Parts.
• Coordinate kit readiness to support preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and tool recovery activities.
• Maintain accurate kit records, locations, metrics, and status in tracking systems.
• Partner with Equipment Engineers and Bench teams to identify kit improvements and shortages.
• Collect and report key metrics to support high-volume manufacturing readiness and continuous improvement.
• KPIs include kit readiness, turnaround time, calibration on-time, and data accuracy.
