Job summary

Micron Technology in Boise, ID is seeking a Bench Equipment Engineer to support world-class manufacturing operations. You will define processes for cleaning, repair, rebuild, and testing of bench subassemblies, collaborating with process area staff to ensure high-quality outputs.

The role emphasizes safety, precise documentation, and development of technical procedures, with opportunities to lead continuous-improvement initiatives and apply AI to speed execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Manufacturing.
• 5+ years of engineering experience with mechanical aptitude.
• Experience as a Bench Engineer is strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical skills to drive and inform Fab Operational Support.
• Proven ability to coordinate across multiple teams and juggle projects.

Responsibilities

• Clean, repair, troubleshoot, rebuild, and test semiconductor equipment subassemblies.
• Document completed work in the equipment tracking program with precision.
• Develop and update detailed technical procedures for supported subassemblies.
• Complete failure analysis and reports for subassemblies not meeting performance expectations.
• Adhere to safety procedures and area work rules, including PPE, lockout, and chemical safety protocols.
• Incorporate and leverage AI to facilitate speed of execution.
