Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a dedicated dishwashing/janitorial teammate to uphold cleanliness in our kitchens and service areas. You will operate dishwashing equipment, assist with basic food prep, and follow safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a welcoming guest experience.

The role requires flexibility for variable shifts, including weekends and holidays, with opportunities to grow within a hospitality-focused team that values service excellence.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in basic English.
• Ability to count and follow directions.
• Physically able to lift, bend, stand, and perform manual tasks in hot, humid environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate dishwashing machines to clean dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
• Pre-wash items, load/unload machines, and inspect cleanliness of wares.
• Hand-wash kitchen equipment and sanitize surfaces.
• Restock cleaned wares and keep workstations organized.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, bar, bathrooms, and service areas.
• Remove and properly dispose of trash and recyclables.
• Clean and maintain garbage compactor and trash areas.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment per safety guidelines (OSHA).
• Support basic food prep and banquet setup as needed.
• Follow all sanitation, health, and safety regulations.
• Report on maintenance or safety issues promptly.
