Sonesta Hotels International Corporation is seeking a dedicated Utility to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in kitchen and dishwashing areas. You will operate dishwashing equipment, pre-wash, load/unload, and assist with basic food prep while adhering to safety guidelines.

The role requires basic English, ability to lift and stand for long periods, and flexibility with hours. Anticipated hourly pay range reflects the hospitality industry, with benefits including health coverage and paid time

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate dishwashing machines to clean dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
• Pre-wash items, load/unload machines, and inspect cleanliness of wares.
• Hand-wash kitchen equipment and sanitize surfaces.
• Restock cleaned wares and keep workstations organized.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, bar, bathrooms, and service areas.
• Remove and properly dispose of trash and recyclables.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment per safety guidelines (OSHA).
• Support basic food prep and banquet setup as needed.
• Follow all sanitation, health, and safety regulations.
• Report maintenance or safety issues promptly.

The Utility plays a key role in delivering Sonesta's mission of providing exceptional service to both guests and colleagues. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality ,maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen and dishwashing areas. Operate dishwashing equipment, clean and organize kitchenware and equipment, handle trash removal, and assist with basic food prep and special cleaning projects as needed.

What you'll be doing

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in basic English

Preferred:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in dishwashing or janitorial roles
• Familiarity with sanitation procedures and chemical handling
• Sanitation certification and/or knowledge of a second language

Expected Hours of Work

• Flexibility to work variable days, including weekends and holidays, is required.
• Flexibility to work variable shifts (days, nights, overnights) is essential.

• Follow all sanitation, health, and safety regulations
• Report on maintenance or safety issues promptly
• All utilities are required to properly store Ecolab solutions and cleaning supplies in their designated storage areas upon delivery

Anticipated Pay Range & Additional Job Information

Hourly compensation range is $31.10 - $32.97. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and specific/overall experience.
