Job summary

Team Schostak Family Restaurants seeks a General Utility to maintain clean, sanitary kitchen areas, assist in food preparation and support the restaurant operations. The role involves dishwashing, handling utensils and equipment, and working in a hot and sometimes outdoor environment as needed.

Ideal candidates are reliable, able to follow directions, and comfortable performing duties across different kitchen zones while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Dishwashing and basic kitchen sanitation awareness.
• Ability to follow instructions and operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work in a hot and damp environment.

Responsibilities

• Scrape and pre-rinse dirty dishes and load the dishwashing machine (50%).
• Wash pots, pans and trays by hand and/or machine (15%).
• Complete all assigned prep work (10%).
• Remove trash and garbage to dumpster area (10%).
• Wash work areas, tables, walls, and equipment to maintain cleanliness (5%).
• Clean garbage cans and trash receptacles (5%).
• Assemble, maintain and breakdown dish machine (5%).
• Transport cases up to 50 pounds up to 20 times per day.
• Place plates, utensils, pans and cases on shelves at various heights.
• Work indoors most of the time; occasional outdoor work; stay alert in hot/damp environments.
