Job summary

TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants is seeking a General Utility to maintain dishwashing areas, equipment and utensils in a clean, sanitary condition and to assist in basic food preparation procedures. The role supports our kitchen operations and upholds safety and teamwork values.

The position involves handling dishwashing duties, cleaning tasks, trash removal, and occasional lifting, with mostly indoor work and some outdoor or hot/damp environments.

Qualifications

• Language skills: ability to read, interpret documents and write routine reports.
• Math/problem-solving: ability to solve practical problems with concrete variables.
• Physical demands: ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and pre-rinses food from dirty dishes and places them in the dishwashing machine.
• Washes pots, pans and trays by hand and/or machine.
• Completes all assigned prep work.
• Removes trash and garbage to dumpster area.
• Washes work area tables, walls, and cooking equipment.
• Cleans garbage cans and trash receptacles.
• Assembles, maintains and breaks down dish machine.
• Travels cases up to 50 pounds up to 20 times per day.
• Works indoors most of the time and in hot/damp environments.
• Responds to emergencies to avoid danger to self and others.
