Job summary

Team Schostak Family Restaurants in Michigan is seeking a General Utility to maintain kitchen areas, dishware, and utensils in a clean and sanitary condition. The role supports food preparation and upholds our standards as part of a fast-paced restaurant team.

You will work indoors most of the time, handle heavy items up to 40 pounds, and respond to emergencies to keep the kitchen safe. The position emphasizes teamwork and adherence to our core values.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and pre-rinses food from dirty dishes and places them in dishwashing machine (50%*).
• Washes pots, pans and trays by hand and/or machine (15%*).
• Completes all assigned prep work (10%*).
• Removes trash and garbage to dumpster area (10%*).
• Washes work area tables, walls, refrigerator equipment, cooking equipment and floors (5%*).
• Cleans garbage cans and trash receptacles (5%*).
• Assembles, maintains and breaks down dish machine (5%*).
• Transports cases up to 50 pounds up to 20 times per day.
