Job summary

TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants is seeking a General Utility to support fast-paced kitchen operations at our Monroe, MI location. The role focuses on maintaining clean and organized work areas, assisting in food preparation, and upholding our safety and sanitation standards.

You will handle dishwashing, stocking, and basic prep tasks, work mostly indoors with occasional outdoor duties, and adapt to a busy restaurant environment while supporting team members to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak before groups.
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.
• Physical demands include lifting up to 40 pounds and standing long periods.
• Team environment, fast-paced work, adaptability and verbal/written communication.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and pre-rinses dirty dishes and loads the dishwasher.
• Washes pots, pans and trays by hand and/or machine.
• Completes all assigned prep work and assists in basic food preparation.
• Removes trash and garbage to dumpster area and maintains trash receptacles.
• Cleans work area tables, equipment and floors; maintains sanitary conditions.
• Transports cases up to 50 pounds; places dishes on high and low shelves.
• Works indoors 90% of the time; may work outdoors 10% in a fast-paced kitchen.
