Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is hiring a Kitchen Team Member to join our deli and cafe operations. You will interact with customers, help maintain a clean, stocked deli area, and provide friendly service while preparing fresh items per guidelines. No experience? We will teach you!

You may also assist with coffee and fountain bars, follow food safety policies, and cross-train in other departments during your shift. This role offers growth opportunities in a fast-paced team setting across different duties.

Responsibilities

• General customer service duties including answering questions about menu offerings and assisting deli staff with cleaning and stocking.
• Prepare deli products such as salads, fresh-cut fruit, sandwiches, wraps, and parfait cups according to guides.
• Follow food safety procedures and company policies to maintain proper conditions.
• Cross-train in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, and Facility Maintenance.
• Move and lift 25+ pounds; work in varying temperatures.

As a Kitchen Team Member, your role goes beyond daily tasks. You will interact with people from all walks of life, brightening their day with top-notch customer service and maintaining a clean, stocked deli area. No experience? No problem! We will teach you!

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.
• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Additional duties could include cross‑training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
