Job summary

Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores is seeking a Kitchen Team Member to deliver friendly service and keep the deli stocked and clean. Training is provided, and no prior experience is required.

You will prepare items like salads, fresh-cut fruit, sandwiches and wraps, and assist with coffee and fountain bar offerings while upholding food safety standards. This role may involve cross‑training in other store sectors and lifting 25+ pounds.

Qualifications

• No experience required; on‑the‑job training provided.
• Able to interact with customers and maintain deli area cleanliness.
• Ability to move and lift 25+ pounds and work in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Provide general customer service, answer menu questions and assist cashiers with deli upkeep.
• Prepare deli items per guides: salads, sandwiches, wraps, parfaits, and fruit.
• Follow food safety procedures and company policies during shifts.
• Cross-train in other departments such as cashier, maintenance and leadership roles.
• Work in temperature‑varied environments and lift 25+ pounds.

As a Kitchen Team Member, your role goes beyond daily tasks. You will interact with people from all walks of life, brightening their day with top-notch customer service and maintaining a clean, stocked deli area. No experience? No problem! We will teach you!

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.
• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Additional duties could include cross‑training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
