Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred 6 months of cooking/food preparation in a professional setting.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow recipes and safety guidelines.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Cook food according to recipes and cooking specs while following food safety guidelines.
• Operate cooking equipment (beef cooker, griddle, fryer, rice cooker, steamtable) following safety procedures.
• Prepare food for cooking and handling (wash rice, transfer to rice pot, move items from refrigerator/freezer).
• Maintain temperature of food per company, health dept, state, and federal regulations.
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in all work areas.
• Assist with delivery and storing food products and supplies; stock freezer/storage areas using FIFO.
• Restock items as needed and assist with guest orders.
• Provide warm welcomes and accurate order taking; observe cash handling policy.
• Work as a team to ensure fast, easy, and convenient guest experiences.
• Contribute to Yoshinoya America's goal of being the Favorite Japanese Bowl Kitchen.
