Job summary

Wild Wing Cafe in Chapel Hill is hiring Back of House staff to work in our kitchen as Cooks, Food Prep, or Dishwashers. You will be essential in preparing and cooking meals, cleaning stations, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations to deliver great guest dining experiences.

We value teamwork, food safety, and reliability. Prior kitchen experience and ServSafe certification are a plus; flexible shifts and reliable transportation help.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in the food industry.
• Knowledge of food preparation, menu planning, and food handling procedures.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and ServSafe certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate great interpersonal skills
• Prepare and cook meals following recipes accurately and efficiently
• Ensure timely food preparation and assist with menu planning
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and adhere to food safety standards
• Use the POS system effectively and perform various side work tasks
• Work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Bend, kneel, and lift items weighing up to 25 lbs frequently
• Be flexible to work AM, PM, and weekend shifts
• Have reliable transportation and familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
• Efficiently handle kitchen equipment safely and work effectively in a restaurant or catering setting
