Job summary

Resort Lifestyle Communities is hiring a Relief Kitchen Helper to support our dining program for residents. You will prepare, stock, and maintain a fresh salad bar and help ensure a positive dining experience, including safe handling of dishes and equipment.

You will also assist in the dining room by bussing tables, refilling beverages, and supporting room-service orders while learning proper sanitization and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work Friday & Saturday 6:30am–3:00pm and Sunday & Monday 11:30am–8:00pm.
• Ability to read, speak and understand basic English.
• No prior culinary experience required.
• Able to obtain local food handler permits within two weeks of starting.

Responsibilities

• Operate the dish machine by loading, running, unloading, and reporting issues; monitor water temps for sanitation.
• Wash, store, and handle all tableware and kitchenware; maintain a clean, organized dish room with sufficient clean items.
• Clean food prep and production areas; assist in the dining room by bussing tables, filling water, and delivering room-service orders.
• Safely use ovens, steamers, grills, and kitchen tools, including sharp utensils and small appliances.
• Listen and respond politely to food comments or complaints and report concerns to leadership promptly.
• Perform support work and any additional tasks, including trash removal.
