Job summary

Woodfield Country Club in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a Culinary/Kitchen Supervisor responsible for all food production in designated outlets. You will ensure recipes, standards, quality and cost controls are met while maintaining sanitation and working with FOH managers.

As a supervisor, you may work across stations as needed, communicate with kitchen and service staff, and help drive efficiency and safety throughout the kitchen operation.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising kitchen staff and daily food production.
• Ability to maintain sanitation and safety standards.
• Strong communication with FOH managers and supervisors.
• Willingness to work across stations as assigned by the Executive Chef.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and directly supervises kitchen staff responsible for the daily preparation of all food items.
• Checks mise en place before service time and inspects presentation of food items to ensure that quality standards are met.
• Maintains standards of quality, cost, eye appeal and flavor of food.
• Coordinates food service involving communication between kitchen and service staff. Attends all shift meetings.
• Personally works in any station as assigned by the Executive Chef.
• Finds creative ways to utilize excess food items, items from freezer and main kitchen.
• Supervises kitchen personnel, to assure highest productivity and professional conduct.
• Maintains highest level of sanitation standards at all times. Adheres to state and local health and safety regulations.
• Ensures that all work areas are safe and secure; reports any unsafe conditions to supervisor.
