About the role

What you'll do

  • Ensure the highest quality of culinary services for our guests.
  • Quickly, safely, and efficiently prepare food in accordance with our preparation and execution standards.
  • Assist in daily kitchen operations under the guidance of management.
  • Drive accountability and enforce standards for operational excellence.
  • Follow established portion control procedures to minimize food waste and maximize profitability.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment, countertops, and storage areas, to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment.
  • Support team members, handle escalated issues, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Assist with inventory, ordering, scheduling and other supervisory tasks.
  • Collaborate with kitchen team members to maintain efficient workflow and communicate effectively to ensure timely preparation and service of meals.
  • Participate in training and development to build leadership and managerial skills.
  • Maintain a high degree of standards in cleanliness and sanitation at all times.
  • Execute opening and closing procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Cook in a high-volume environment.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential with a desire to grow into management.
  • Understanding of inventory control, scheduling, and labor analysis
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules
  • Strong knowledge of various cooking methods and techniques.
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
  • Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment.
