Omni Hotels & Resorts in New Orleans is seeking a kitchen steward to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen. You will sort soiled ware, wash dishes, polish silver, and support cooks and servers to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities include operating dish machines, cleaning equipment and areas, handling trash, and stocking supplies. A strong work ethic, teamwork, and flexibility to work weekends and holidays are essential.

Responsabilités

• Sort soiled ware promptly for dish machine processing.
• Wash wares quickly and store per standards.
• Keep dish machine clean and filled with water per hotel standards.
• Polish silver for proper appearance.
• Clean kettles, pots and pans so cooks can work.
• Transport and clean utensils to provide equipment for guests' dining experience.
• Maintain clean kitchen work areas and equipment.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Wash tables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks.
• Remove trash to designated containers.
• Steam-clean or hose-out garbage cans.
• Scrape and wash dishes; use rack or conveyor to dishwashing machine.
• Run glasses through dish machine twice.
• Rotate stock and store clean utensils.
• Clean and sanitize all kitchen areas and equipment.
• Report inventory and cleaning chemicals to supervisor.
• Follow safety guidelines for chemicals and storage.
• Report non-working kitchen equipment to supervisor.
• Assist kitchen staff when needed.
• Assist Stewarding Supervisor with inventories.
• Attend department meetings and trainings.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
