Job summary

Omni Hotels is seeking a Steward/Dishwasher to uphold high cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen. Responsibilities include washing, sorting, stacking, and maintaining all dishware, utensils, and equipment to support cooks and banquet staff.

The role requires physical stamina, reliability on weekends/holidays, and adherence to safety and sanitation practices. Training and opportunities to contribute to a well-organized kitchen environment are provided.

Responsibilities

• Sort soiled ware for dish or pot machine.
• Wash ware and store properly; keep dish machine clean and full.
• De-tarnish/polish silver for appearance.
• Clean kettles, skillets, pots and pans for cooks.
• Transport and clean utensils and service ware for staff.
• Maintain kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils in clean condition.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
• Handle trash and garbage disposal.
• Steam-clean or hose-out garbage cans.
• Scrape food from dishes and wash by hand or in dishwasher.
• Run glasses through dish machine twice.
• Stock rotation and organization of clean utensils.
• Clean all kitchen area, floors and walls.
• Report inventory needs and safety concerns.
• Attend department trainings and complete duties as assigned.
