Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Kitchen Steward/Cleaner to support our food and beverage operations in Las Vegas. The role focuses on dishwashing, sanitation, and maintaining a clean kitchen and utility areas throughout shifts.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma or equivalent, be able to stand for long periods, and lift up to 100 pounds as needed. Flexibility with hours and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (or hotel experience)
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform heavy lifting
• Flexible with hours and shifts
• Strong communication with team and guests
• Willingness to follow safety and sanitation procedures
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize tasks

Responsibilities

• Operate the dishwashing equipment to ensure all china, glass, and silver are cleaned thoroughly and sanitation is maintained.
• Return all clean china, glass, and silver to storage locations with care to minimize breakage.
• Know safe handling techniques for all chemicals used.
• Sweep and mop the kitchen area including sinks, ice machine, soap and sanitizers.
• Manually wash and scrub pots and pans.
• Ensure dispensers are stocked with paper, soap and sanitizer.
• Maintain high standard of cleanliness and order in all kitchens and utility areas.
• Wash tile floors in all food and beverage areas.
• Empty trash and keep cans clean.
• Comply with Loss Prevention guidelines and safety rules.
• Attend meetings and trainings as required by management.
