Job summary

Downtown Grand in Las Vegas is seeking a Kitchen Steward to maintain a clean and organized kitchen, wash dishes, and uphold sanitation standards. The role requires flexibility for weekends and holidays and the ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, informing chefs of issues, and ensuring station readiness for service; you may perform other duties as assigned to support operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
• Previous experience in a similar resort setting.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
• Ability to comprehend all information and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Keep company equipment clean and organized.
• Wash dishes, pots and pans.
• Sweep & mop floors when needed.
• Maintain workstation and upkeep of dish machine.
• Inform Sous Chef/Executive Chef of any issues, questions or concerns.
• Resolve routine problems and keep management informed.
• Ensure the station you\'re assigned to is prepped prior to service.
• Complies with Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
• Communicates product needs to the chefs and/or purchaser.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
