Omni Hotels is seeking a diligent kitchen steward to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen. You will promptly wash ware, de-tarnish silver, and ensure all equipment and floors are spotless to support culinary staff.

Responsibilities include handling laundry and inventory tasks, assisting kitchen staff, and following safety guidelines for cleaning chemicals. Flexibility for weekends/holidays is required, with a strong focus on teamwork and customer service.

Formación

• Strong customer service orientation and skills.
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Excellent safety and sanitation skills.
• Must have unexpired Food Handlers – or obtain upon hire.
• Physical strength and stamina are essential to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability and willingness to work a varied schedule which includes weekends and holidays.

Responsabilidades

• Sort soiled ware promptly for dish or pot machine, then wash and return to storage per hotel standards.
• De-tarnish/polish silver for proper appearance.
• Clean kettles, skillets, pots and pans to support cooks.
• Transport and clean utensils and service ware for cooks, banquet servers and food servers.
• Maintain kitchen areas and restaurant equipment and utensils in clean, orderly condition.
• Sweep and mop floors and wash surfaces (tables, walls, refrigerators, etc.).
• Separate and remove trash, sanitize garbage containers.
• Report inventory for supplies and cleaning chemicals to supervisor.
• Follow safety guidelines for usage and storage of cleaning chemicals.
• Report any kitchen equipment not in working order to supervisor/manager.
• Assist kitchen staff as needed and support the Stewarding Supervisor with inventories.
• Attend department meetings and trainings and complete other duties as assigned.
