Job summary

Langham Hospitality Group in Chicago is seeking a Steward to transport and clean utensils and serviceware for Culinary and front-of-house teams. The role includes cleaning kitchens and stewarding areas, and supporting the guest dining experience with meticulous service.

Qualifications

• F&B or Stewarding experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain government licenses or certificates.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Sort soiled serviceware for cleaning and replace in storage.
• Check station for setup and cleanliness before, during, and after shifts.
• Keep dishwashing machine clean and filled with water per hotel standards.
• Polish silverware to a proper finish.
• Clean kettles, skillets, pots and pans promptly and completely.
• Empty trash in service areas as scheduled or requested by management.
• Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel products to meet health standards.
• Work to prevent slips and falls by keeping floors clean and dry.
• Report for duty as scheduled and perform other duties as assigned.
