Job summary

Wind Creek Hospitality in Chicago, IL is seeking a Kitchen Worker to help clean dishware and equipment, assist the Culinary Team, and support food production. You will help maintain hygiene standards and assist with daily kitchen tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 18+, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, reliable communication, and willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays. An Illinois Gaming Act license is mandatory or must be obtained.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within six (6) months from start date as a condition of continued employment.
• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
• Willingness and ability to bend, squat and lift up to 50 lbs on a regular and frequent basis.
• Ability to adequately and successfully perform all aspects of this position.
• Must possess a high level of maturity, dependability, and punctuality.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Willing to work odd and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required.
• Must have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board as a requirement for this position.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to strict hygiene standards at all times.
• Clean and maintain the dish room and kitchen areas.
• Friendly and courteous at all times.
• Maintain a stable, positive background and be willing to assume additional tasks.
• Informs kitchen leadership of inventory/supply needs.
• Ensure premises are kept safe and healthy by performing cleaning tasks as assigned.
• Follow all operating policies and procedures at all times without deviation.
• Be extremely knowledgeable of Minimum Internal Control Standards and Fiscal Policies and Procedures.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
