Job summary

Wind Creek Hospitality Authority in Chicago, IL is hiring a Kitchen Worker to clean dishware, utensils, and kitchen equipment, maintaining sanitation in kitchen and dining areas. The role supports food production and operation of the restaurant program with a strong emphasis on cleanliness and safety.

The position requires lifting up to 50 lbs, working nights and weekends, and possessing or obtaining the Illinois Gaming Act license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and complete GED within six months from start date.
• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Willingness and ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Ability to perform all aspects of this position.
• Must possess maturity, dependability, and punctuality.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Willing to work odd hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have an Occupational License (Illinois Gaming Act) and be in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to strict hygiene standards at all times.
• Clean and maintain the dish room and kitchen areas.
• Be friendly and courteous at all times.
• Take on additional tasks as needed.
• Inform kitchen leadership of inventory/supply needs.
• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize items.
• Dispose of kitchen garbage per casino policies.
• Follow proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
• Wash, rinse, and sanitize equipment and surfaces.
• Ensure premises are kept clean and safe and adhere to policies at all times.
• Adhere to Minimum Internal Control Standards and Fiscal Policies and Procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
