Sonesta International Hotels Corporation is seeking a Steward to work with the culinary team, cleaning and sanitizing pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment to uphold guest satisfaction. You will maintain hygiene, assist cooks and servers, and ensure waste disposal and recycling are followed per standards.

The role emphasizes operating industrial dish machines, keeping floors clean, and adhering to safety guidelines, with a focus on teamwork in a hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating industrial dish machines and maintaining hygienic kitchen conditions.
• Ability to follow sanitation guidelines and SDS information for chemical handling.
• Willingness to assist cooks and servers as needed.
• Capacity to keep floors and workstations clean and organized.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Operate pot-washing machinery and maintain a hygienic environment.
• Follow sanitation guidelines and SDS information for chemicals.
• Assist cooks, servers and other staff as needed.
• Collect and dispose of trash; maintain waste and recycling procedures.
• Keep kitchen floors, walls and dish area clean and safe.
• Load/unload dishwasher and store cleaned items properly.
• Report maintenance or hazard issues to stewarding leadership.
