Job summary

The Meritage Resort & Spa in Napa, CA is seeking a Steward to wash and sanitize dishes, glassware and cookware, assist with plating for banquets, and help keep kitchen areas clean and well organized. The role requires basic math, reliable attendance, and English communication.

A Food Handlers Card is required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment; shifts include holidays and weekends in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time Stewarding position at our Napa property.

Qualifications

• No related experience and/or training required.
• Requires ability to perform basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Must have a valid current Food Handlers Card or willingness and ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
• Must be able to communicate, read, write and understand English to understand instructions and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans according to hotel's standards.
• Inspects items for cleanliness and sanitizes walls, floors and surfaces.
• Stocks supplies in serving stations and storage areas.
• Transports garbage and follows recycling procedures.
• Performs general cleaning and safety tasks as needed.
