Job summary

Pacific Hospitality Group is seeking an On-Call Steward to support our kitchen operations in a fast-paced hotel environment. You will be responsible for washing and sanitizing dishware, glassware, and cookware, while supporting banquet and event plating and delivery tasks as needed.

Applicants should have previous stewarding experience and be able to perform basic math, follow detailed instructions, and read safety guidelines.

Qualifications

Basics of math and reading comprehension.
Ability to follow both written and oral instructions.
Capable of reading safety rules and operating procedures.
Able to work in a team and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

Sort soiled ware and prepare for cleaning using the dish or pot machine.
Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans to the hotel’s cleanliness standard.
Inspect items to ensure cleanliness and proper sanitation.
Clean and sanitize walls, floors, and surfaces on a regular basis.
Stock supplies in serving stations, cupboards, and refrigerators.
Dispose of kitchen substances and chemicals safely and properly.
Transport garbage and follow recycling regulations.
Sort and remove trash and place it in designated areas.
Empty and clean trashcans and maintain orderly work areas.
Follow standard food handling and health department guidelines.
