Job summary

PopStroke is seeking a dedicated dishwasher to support high-volume kitchen operations. You'll operate the dishwasher, keep areas clean, and assist with basic food prep to help chefs shine.

This non-exempt, hourly role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to follow safety guidelines. Weekend availability and reliable, steady performance are essential to keep the dining area running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Previous dishwasher or kitchen steward experience in a high-volume environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

• Load, run, and unload the dishwasher with utensils, glassware, cookware, plates, and trays in a fast and efficient manner.
• Ensure all dishes are clean and sanitized before putting them away on dish racks.
• Maintain the dishwasher area to keep it clean and organized and ensure the wash cycle is sanitary and operating well.
• Mop and sanitize the dish room, kitchen floors, and dining hallways; remove trash at shift end to maintain safety.
• Sanitize work areas and adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Assist with deliveries and basic food preparation tasks.
• Safely operate a trash compactor and ensure cleanliness of the trash area.
• Collaborate with kitchen team to maintain efficient workflow and communicate effectively.
• Other duties as assigned.
