Job summary

PopStroke Entertainment Group in Austin is seeking a reliable dishwasher to keep the kitchen running smoothly and to support our chefs during busy service. You’ll turn suds into smiles and help maintain a clean, organized work area.

The role is non-exempt with pay of $16-$18 per hour and requires weekend availability. We value teamwork, strong communication, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Previous dishwasher or kitchen steward experience in a high-volume environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
• Must have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

• Load, run, and unload the dishwasher with utensils, glassware, cookware, plates, and trays in a fast and efficient manner.
• Ensure all dishes are clean and sanitized before putting them away on dish racks.
• Maintain the dishwasher area to make sure it is clean and organized and that the wash cycle is always sanitary and operating at peak performance.
• Mop and sanitize the dish room, kitchen floors, and dining room hallways, remove trash at the end of each shift to maintain safety and sanitation.
• Sanitize work areas and adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Assist with deliveries and basic food preparation tasks.
• Safely operate a trash compactor and ensure cleanliness of the trash compactor area.
• Collaborate with kitchen team members to maintain efficient workflow and communicate effectively.
• Other duties as assigned.
